New Song Church is looking for someone to fill a part-time Child and Youth Worker position.

Hourly wage rate: $15/hr

Number of weeks: 20 weeks

Number of hours per week: 15

Start Date: May 3, 2021

Tasks and Responsibilities (Mandatory):

Plan, organize and oversee community programmes both in church and online aimed at young people and children. Youth workers work directly with children and young people, helping them build life skills, develop healthy relationships and make decisions that are right for them. Required to be in service on Sundays and some weeknights to run programs, in person and online. Be able to teach Bible studies online or in-person. Looking for someone who can effectively engage with kids/youth both online and in person through prayer and encouragement using scripture in line with the vision and values of New Song Church and its leadership. Working with a group of people to achieve a shared goal or outcome in an effective way. Listening to other team members. Listening to everyone’s ideas and working for the good of the group as a whole. Having a say and sharing responsibility. Working with Kids/Youth is high energy. Learning problem solving and critical thinking. Networking with other youth programs in the region. Having a great attitude and staying positive. Good communication helps with time management. *Grow and/or improve the child and youth ministries at New Song Church.
