Online Message from Pastor Dave
Hello Church Family,
It has been a challenging time for everyone across every area of life as we make adjustments due to the current pandemic. I’m so grateful we have had the opportunity to meet together in person in this region as a church; following the current restrictions of 30% capacity. We will also continue to produce our services online for those who would still feel more comfortable watching the service at home. Whichever way you choose to participate in the life of New Song Church during this time, each of us has to do what we feel at peace about, while being respectful of each other's choices.
While we have permission to sing (the congregation with masks on & those on the stage without), we want to do so in a way that reduces the risk as best as we currently understand. What everyone who attends must realize is there is no way for us to completely remove all risk of transmission. There is risk involved every time we step out of our house. Knowing that, each of us has to determine for ourselves, or for those under our care, what level of risk we are comfortable with.
We are asking everyone who wants to participate in the in-person services to: (besides the ones already implemented regarding practicing social distancing, hand sanitizing stations, washing hands etc.)
1. Everyone is asked to wear a mask or face shield while they're in the building (unless they're speaking or worshipping on the stage).
2. More than 12 ft. separates those leading the worship time and the front row.
3. Everyone is keep 2m distance whenever possible.
4. In line with what other churches and businesses are doing, everyone is to sign a waiver stating they understand the risk involved in attending a worship service and not hold the church or its leaders responsible should they catch any virus or sickness as a result of attending. *Waivers are at the church and only need to be signed once.
Shannon and I would love the opportunity to meet up, either in an online meeting or an appropriately distanced meet up, to hear what’s happening in your life these days, answer any concerns, pray with you, or just hang out and have a good time.
We are in new territory here as leaders trying to navigate all of this. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we have had to process things quickly and make decisions. I encourage you to use this time to draw closer to Him through spending time in the Word of God, worship and prayer.
Lot’s of Love,
Dave and Shannon Mischuk
